HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM THE GROUNDHOGS!

Thanks for all the birthday greetings everyone... you're a luvverly bunch and no mistake, and yes... I did open a bottle or 2 of beer, some excellent stuff from the Teignworthy brewery that was donated by some nice chap I met at the Devon punkfest.

And I recieved this card in the mail from none other than that guitar legend himself - Tony McPhee of the Groundhogs who we gigged with in Brixham.

They had reformed the classic 'Thank Christ For The Bomb' album lineup and were great, the songs sounding as powerful as ever I remembered them playing 'em all those years ago and the improvisation was marvellously fluent and skillful.

I do hope they get some new material together as Tony thought they might but in the meantime there are a bunch of great 'Hogs' CDs available... check out 'Split' if you've not heard them. Guitar music doesn't come much better than that folks.

Oh, and do make sure you check out the official Groundhogs site sometime. Belch!
