LIVERPOOL - ACADEMY
Thursday 14th December 2006

How can I possibly criticize my all time favourite band. Liverpool Academy, Thursday 14th December 2006. Great show Great performance All the classic songs.

Great professionalism - Dave was 'baptised' in beer during first song (Wait for the Blackout) But kept a smile on his face... The Captain was right, STOP acting like morons, grow up and respect the band and each other...

Even a good support, Zombina and the Skeletones!! Sorry, I missed the opening act.... However, while I was pogoing down the front with my blonde mohican (you'd think I'd grown up by now ...43) I noticed, not for the first time in recent years, how 'lame' the bass was. Great bass lines like 'Love Song' and 'Ignite' were lost in the background. Come on Mr sound man, sort it out.

Also, the 'Interludes' in songs like 'Neat Neat Neat', 'Anti-Pope', 'Looking At You' etc have always been a feature of the Damned set. However, they seem to be getting longer, emptier and less relevant as the years tick by. The Damned have one of the greatest selections of songs to go at so why 'drag out' some songs.

Anyway, The Damned Rule and long may they continue...

I'd go and see them anywhere.

Cheers to all who were there, I had a great night.

Gary
