BOLTON - ALBERT HALLS
Thursday 27th September 2007

I think I'm coming up to my 50th Damned gig, although to be honest I stopped counting a while ago, after 21 years and a lot of mileage The Damned have never disappointed and never cancelled.

The Bolton gig focused on material from Damned Damned Damned and Machine Gun Etiquette, which is by no means a bad thing, but I can't help wishing they'd played a few songs from Grave Disorder, or even god forbid a new song (how many of the old 'punk' bands do you find yourself saying that about?).

The only downside was the venue, which was crap, inept bar staff and crap acoustics were just two of the problems, and for those of us still smoking a jog down two flights of stairs for a swift ciggie didn't help. Still The Damned played a blinder and I'll be back for the December tour.

Fantastic concert!
